Bhopal. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath, spent come personal moments with 3-year-old Shanjan Thamma a talented child of the state. A multi-talented child who can write using both her hands since she was ten months old, knows the names of 235 countries out of the world’s 247 countries and their capitals by heart. The Chief Minister said, Blessed is our state, where there are so many unique talents. 

Kamal Nath said that such talents will be used as inspiration in the interest of the state. When the Chief Minister Kamal Nath returned from the Cabinet meeting, he met Kumari Shanjan in his room in the 5th floor of the Mantralaya. Shanjan had come with her mother Smt. Mansi Thamma and grandfather Shri Ramesh Chandra Sharma. As soon Shanjan, a resident of Ujjain entered the room, the Chief Minister warmly shook hands with her.

He asked Shanjan what all medals she has received. The Chief Minister saw each of her achievements. He also presented her with a bouquet. He handed a citation to her on his behalf. CM’s words in the citation.... Blessed is our state, for possessing such a unique talent like you. I and the people of the state congratulate you for making a world record as the Youngest Ambidextrous Writer.

The continuous efforts made with dedication by your parents to nurture your talent are commendable. Such talents need to be groomed and protected. Your success is the result of the efforts of your parents, and an example also. My best wishes to you to earn respect and bring pride to your parents, the state and the country. I wish you a bright future.

 Shanjan’s mother Mansi told the Chief Minister that Shanjan could write with both her hands since she was 10 months old and could count from 1-10. Shanjan has a deep understanding and knowledge of science, politics and geography of the world. Her first record was created when she started writing with both hands. The second record was created because she memorized the national song, national anthem and ‘Sare Jahan Se Accha, Hindustan Hamara’ at a very young age.

She has already bagged the World Records of India and Asia Book of Records. The final process of registration in the Guinness Book of World Records is in progress. Shanjan has her own library of 250 books. She watched the launch of Chandrayaan 2 all night and said that we will succeed in it. Shanjan is three years old and is in nursery but has full knowledge of the ninth grade. Shanjan’s mother is a software engineer and father Shridhar Thamma is posted in Kutch in the Air Force. Her mother quit her job to groom Shanjan’s talents. She is pursuing B.Ed. so that she can herself become her daughter’s authorized teacher.
